It was one hundred years ago, in 1907, that American Vogue first made reference to a newfangled women's undergarment called a "brassiere." With this small but momentous mention, women began to ditch their corsets in favor of the more body-friendly brassiere--later, simply "bra"--in droves. Was it just a sign of the times ... or the catalyst from which would spring the drive for women's rights?
Either way, this was a great milestone in women's history, and its centennial is well worth commemorating. We can think of few better ways to celebrate than by treating yourself to one of Graffiti Pink's delicious bra styles, like the State of Undress Yvette Pink Dove Balcony Bra at right.
After all, it's our heritage, ladies. Let's celebrate it right!
