Style book bonanza!

It's back-to-school season, ladies, and not just for the kids. This fall some of your favorite beauty and fashion icons are turning teacher—and their wisdom is as close as your local bookstore. Here are just a few titles to check out, with descriptions courtesy of amazon.com:

Tim Gunn: A Guide to Quality, Taste, and Style by Tim Gunn: "This accessible guidebook covers it all, including the 'hunt,' 'stalk,' and 'pounce' of 'shopping at its most instinctual' (inspired by cheap, forward-looking clothiers H&M), what to ask yourself before taking advantage of a bargain (is it season-appropriate?), the difference between a fashion icon and a mentor (Gunn's the former, Coco Chanel the latter) and full-on closet reconstruction."

The Little Black Book of Style by Nina Garcia: "From definite fashion faux-pas to pointers on how to create your own sense of style, to uncovering what makes you look and feel good, Nina Garcia offers readers the ultimate guide to follow when it comes to dressing their best."

Style A to Zoe by Rachel Zoe: "With an eye toward living the luxe life, even if it's on a dime, Zoe zeroes in on the must-have accessories and wardrobe staples for all occasions, when to splurge and save on handbags and heels, how to decorate, entertain, and travel in style."

The 5-Minute Face by Carmindy: "[Carmindy] provides valuable advice on perfecting the makeup technique that is right for your face, including product tips and accompanying 'toolbox' sections that describe which tools to use with each type of makeup."

So if your style could use a little inspiration, take a stroll down to your local bookstore and crack a few covers. Chances are you'll find just the expert advice you need, right there in black and white.
