Designated driver's delight: Mai Tai Mocktail

'Tis the season for festive holiday parties, and while a well-stocked bar is a key element for any successful celebration, it's also important to offer the designated drivers something a little more special than plain soda or sparkling water.

Over the rest of the season, we'll be bringing you some scrumptious nonalcoholic holiday quaffs that will earn rave reviews from drinkers and non-drinkers alike.

Today's teetotaler treat:

Mai Tai Mocktail

2 oz fresh orange juice
1/2 oz almond syrup
1/2 oz fresh lime juice1/2 oz sour mix
3 dashes Angostura bitters
Crushed ice

Mix all ingredients in a cocktail shaker and pour into a glass. Add crushed ice, then garnish with orange or pineapple slices, cherries, or even a tiny umbrella to give this "mocktail" the air of the real thing.

Here's to a happy—and safe—holiday season, ladies!
