Just for Cinco de Mayo: the ultimate 'rita!

Happy Cinco de Mayo, ladies! What better way to mark the occasion (which, by the way, commemmorates Mexico's victory over France in the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862) than with that lovefest of tequila and lime known simply as the margarita?

YumSugar has shared with us the recipe for what she claims to be the ultimate 'rita; it's super-easy to make and goes perfectly with your Tex-Mex munchable of choice.

Ingredients

1.5 c tequila
1/2 c Grand Marnier
1/3 bottle beer (light beer: Budweiser, Coors, Miller)
1 can frozen lemonade concentrate
juice from 1 lemon
juice from 1 lime
sugar to taste
ice
salt, if preferred to rim glass

Directions

In a blender combine all ingredients, blend until smooth. Alternately, combine all ingredients except ice in a pitcher and pour into an ice-filled glass.

Makes 12.

Olé, mi señoritas!
