This regal hue is hotter than ever in Spring 2008, even popping up in uncharted territory such as shoes, handbags, and even leggings. Darker hues like eggplant can be worn as a neutral in place of brown or black, and brighter shades add an unmistakable pop of color to even the most conservative attires.

And it certainly doesn't hurt that purple is inherently flattering to nearly all skintones, from cool to neutral to warm.
